Caught up with old Friends

Caught up with some old friends the other night. It’s strange how at one stage, we lived in each others pockets and now we almost seem like strangers.

Moving to a Mac – Part 1

Changing PC’s is always messy, forgetting files and web passwords

I’ve moved most of my Documents to my New Mac Mini and I’m in the process of moving my Web login’s and all my media files to the new Mac.

I decided to start afresh with my music and I’m in the process of importing 312 CD’s into iTunes.

Look like I’m Mac User for Life now.

The One in Which I buy a Mac Mini

Decided Yesterday to buy a New 2014 Mac Mini for Home

2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
1TB Fusion Drive
16GB of 1600MHz LPDDR3 memory
Intel Iris Graphics

I decided to get 16Gb as the RAM is not user upgradeable, I’m using it for a iTunes / Media / Development Usage at the moment, but I got the Extra RAM in case I want to use it as a Hyper-V / VMWare Server in the future.

Going on a Certification Frenzy

Decided it’s time to add some Certifications to my

Professional Profile.

I’ve spent a lot of time of learning about software & hardware on the Job, but haven’t sat down and formalized my knowledge with Certifications.

Going to go down the MSCE Messaging Track as well as adding some cross skilled Server Applications to round out my portfolio.

I’ll let you know how I get on.

Built a VMware Whitebox for a Home Lab / Training Environment

I bought some Hardware and built myself a VMware 5.5 White box for a Home Lab / Training Environment.

Decided that a AMD Build would be cheap and more powerful for a esxi Server.
